My name is.. wha...?

Chinese people have problems pronouncing my name. Atleast over the phone. I'm not sure if one on one it would be more disastrous. Earlier last week my boss had asked me to call the bank for this particular loan file.

Operator: Hi Good morning, XXX bank. How can I help you? (in polite tone)
Me: ya, hi. I'm calling from Chen Wong & Co. May I know whether the redemption cheque has been release yet? Your reference number is Loan-579746. Its regarding a client named Susan Peters.
Operator: Can I get your name please? (still in polite tone)
Me: Ummu.
Operator: Sorry, whats that?
Me: Ummu. U double m U.
Operator: (chinese accent come out) Umur?? you mean your name as in age aah??

Another situation.. I've been instructed to call the Purchasers lawyer also regarding their cheque.

Operator: X & Y associates.
Me: Hi, Im Ummu calling from Chen Wong & Co. Mitchelle Please.
Operator: Yep, hold on.
 tutt..tutt..

Mitchelle: Hi Mitchelle speaking. (cheerful tone)
Me: Hi Mitchelle, I'm calling from Chen Wong & Co. Regarding your clients cheque, we have already advise for drawdown, so within this week the bank will settle on the rest of the documents and by next week the cheque will be ready for collection.
Mitchelle: I see, alright then, thank you so much!
Me: Ur welcome. Anyway can you fax me your clients tax number? We have to submit CKHT. Attention to me, Ummu.
Mitchelle: I see, in that case I'll fax to you right over.

Later, I received a fax from her and the fax was written.....

Attention: Umum.
