Perfection Kills.

I have just finished watching the movie titled the 'Black Swan'. It's a new release movie and I've watched it for free at Wisevid.com. A brief synopsis is where the story sets out in New York city, a fragile girl name Nina, who is a professional ballerina where her entire life is consume with dance. She lives together with her mother whom also a retired ballerina. When Thomas Leroy, the artistic director decided to replace the prima ballerina who plays as the lead role titled Swan Lake previously, Nina is his first choice.

However, Nina has her own competition, Lily, the new dancer, had impressed Thomas as well. The play, (Swan Lake) requires a dancer to play both role which is the White Swan, with innocence and grace hence also as the black swan, who portrays guile and sensuality. Nina fits the role of the white swan perfectly but Lily possessed the personification of the black swan. Things started to get ugly as Nina was drawn more into her dark side which threatens to destroy her.

In this movie, her entire life is dedicated towards keeping the steps flawless. She wanted to be perfect in all her dance where she puts on so much control in it, it turns out not natural. After she has been announced as the new Swan Queen, she was starting to felt pressure by it. She starts hallucinating which comes only from her imagination since she was so in touch with her dark side.

A little bit of the play, Swan Lake tells us about a girl who was trap in a body of a swan and needs to find a true love to break the spell. At the final play, (Swan Lake), Nina acts perfectly and everybody was in love with her performance. The last plot is where the white queen jumps of the cliff, where the cast found Nina lying on the mattress. Thomas came to congratulate her when the cast  see that Nina was covered in blood. Though Nina lies wounded and perhaps dying, she feels content that everything that she went through helped her to achieve a perfect performance.

I tell you what I think. If you do something with passion but you lack of faith to guide you, eventually you'll break. Shattered. To pieces I tell you. In everything that we do, with or without passion, we must have faith carried together. For example, If we are so drawn into something, let say work, if you have faith, at 1.30 you will stop to have your zohor prayers eventhough at that point of time you have something going on. But if you don't, you did't perform your prayer and continued on with your work, and everyday is the same cycle, someday somehow you will break.

Kita buat sesuatu yang kita suka tapi makin hari jiwa kita makin resah. Makin tak gembira. Makin kusut. Logiknya bila kita buat sesuatu yang kita suka, kita akan makin mendapat kebahagiaan kan? Tapi perkara yang berlaku sebaliknya. Mana silapnya? Kita lupa pada pencipta kita. As simple as that.

Same goes to Nina, the character in the Black Swan, her whole life is about dance but she was droved by the hallucinations, and at the end of the day, it turns out that she stab herself instead of Lily, which also one of her hallucinations. Kau pikir, orang yang ada agama akan buat macam tu ke? Kalau dalaman kita kuat, takkan ada benda yang boleh menganggu atau mengawal kita melainkan kita sendiri. I'm not saying it's not a good movie, It's a good movie. Strong plot, good storylines but something is lacking. Watch it and value it for yourself. Sentiasa ada pengajaran dimana-mana.
